Charli XCX Plays a Hell Version of Her Own Identity in Fictional Documentary Preview
The Grammy-winning artist is preparing for a major big screen presence in 2026, kicking off with the mockumentary titled The Moment.
In the film, she plays what she calls as a hell version of herself.
It’s the most authentic portrayal of the music business that I’ve ever encountered, the performer stated.
She further explained in an interview: This isn’t a concert film, yet the concept originated from the pressure to produce one.
An Early Look into The Moment
The first teaser, released on recently, mixes actual recordings from her recent tour with made-up behind-the-scenes moments.
The Moment is helmed and co-scripted by the director, who shared that the narrative revolves around a reality where the singer took completely different paths in the marketing of her smash hit album Brat.

A Hectic Film Calendar
The film is just one of several upcoming film appearances for the star, who has appeared in three festival films this year.

Future Ventures
Next year will also feature the star together with Olivia Wilde in romantic thriller I Want Your Sex, Natalie Portman in gallery suspense The Gallerist, and Barbie Ferreira in horror remake Faces of Death.
She also agreed to feature in the actress’s maiden directing project A Tree in Blue.

Soundtrack Involvement
February will also include the debut of the director’s version of Wuthering Heights, which will feature fresh tracks from the artist.
She is also set to compose the score for the story Mother Mary, with Anne Hathaway and Michaela Coel, set to be released next year.
The Moment will be released on January 30.
